The 2019 Dodge Challenger is an anomaly in the American automotive scene. With the 392 Hemi V-8, the Challenger glides from zero to 60 in around 4 seconds, courtesy of 485 horsepower and up to 475 pound-feet of torque.
However, it’s the two supercharged engines that are for thrill seekers only. Kicking out 717 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi SRT Hellcat V-8 reaches zero to 60 in a mind-blowing 3.7 seconds, while a top speed of 195 mph makes you feel like a NASCAR driver. Rounding out the impressive lineup of engines is the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Hemi Redeye. Behind its 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque, this beauty sprints from zero to 60 in 3.4 seconds with a hey-get-out-of-my-way top speed of 203 mph.

With lightning-like speed, it’s fun to drive the 2019 Dodge Challenger, but safety is always an issue at high speeds. Fortunately, the Challenger earns a perfect five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A comprehensive driver-assist safety suite supplies numerous gadgets designed to keep an extra eye on the road, even if you get distracted.
