The Wranglers' base powertrain is a 3.6--liter V-6 with 285 horsepower and power just goes up from there. The Bronco starts with a 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder with 300 horsepower, but the only option for more is a 2.7-liter V-6 with 330 horsepower. With the Wrangler, you can also get a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that makes 270 horsepower, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with 442 horsepower, or a 6.4-liter V-8 that generates 392 horsepower.

The Off-Road Challenge

While the Bronco is very capable off-road, it still can't beat the Wrangler. It has a solid front axle and all-terrain tires for better grip, allowing the Wrangler to climb challenging terrain better and more efficiently than the Bronco.
