Efficient Performance
The Pacifica Hybrid is not only the first-ever hybrid minivan in the U.S. but also the most fuel-efficient minivan on the market today. Its 3.6-liter engine is mated to two electric engines and a 16-kWh battery pack and delivers a combined 260 horsepower. A front-wheel-drive system is standard, and so is an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that imitates the shifts of a normal automatic transmission quite well.
This powertrain delivers an EPA-estimated rating of 82 MPGe and 30 mpg combined in hybrid mode. When driving on an electric charge, the Pacifica provides a range of 32 miles, which is impressive for this class. Driving with the gas engine will provide you with another 488 miles, which means you can drive a total of 520 miles with the Pacifica before you need to refuel. To recharge the battery, you can either plug it in overnight or, for more convenience, invest in the available 250-volt Mopar that’ll allow you to recharge your battery in only two hours.
Spacious and Flexible Cabin
The cabin of the Pacifica will provide your family with all the comfort and space they need. The minivan has space for up to seven passengers and also boasts a large and flexible cargo area. Behind the third-row seats, you’ll get 32.3 cubic feet of space, which you can extend to 87.5 cubic feet by folding the third-row Stow ‘n Go seats down. Access to the third row is made easy through standard Easy Slide second-row seats.
Even with its standard configuration, the Pacifica provides many convenient features that include push-button start, premium cloth upholstery, active noise cancelation, power-adjustable front seats, second-row window shades, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Higher trims offer increased convenience and luxury with features like heated and ventilated front seats, third-row window shades, a hands-free liftgate, and leather upholstery.
State-of-the-Art Technology
If you have kids, you’re going to want a vehicle that offers plenty of modern technology. The Pacifica’s standard infotainment system comes with many impressive features that include an 8.4-inch display, AppleCarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, HD radio, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and six speakers. You can also upgrade with a premium Harman-Kardon sound system, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. To keep the kids happy, invest in the optional rear entertainment system that offers dual 10-inch touch screens, two wireless headphones, a Blu-Ray player, and dual HDMI inputs
