2020 Jeep Gladiator

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is the only convertible truck on the market and also the first trail-rated pickup ever. In addition, this truck offers a comfortable interior and a user-friendly infotainment system. You can choose from four trims, namely the Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon, and three special editions, the Altitude, Mojave, and North Edition. Here’s a short breakdown of what these different models offer.

Innovative Design

The Jeep Gladiator, like the Wrangler, features a fold-down windshield, removable doors, and a removable soft top or three-piece hardtop. Standard features include halogen headlights, cargo tie-down loops, a Class II bumper hitch, fog lights, 17-inch steel wheels, and one rear and two front tow hooks.

The Sport S trim adds automatic headlights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, power-adjustable and heated mirrors, and a power tailgate lock, while the Altitude comes with a painted front bumper, a body-colored grille, and a Freedom three-piece hardtop. With the Overland comes 18-inch aluminum wheels and side steps, while the North Edition also boasts 18-inch aluminum wheels and a Freedom three-piece hardtop. The Rubicon and Mojave feature added off-road-ready equipment.

Configurable Interior

The cabin of the Gladiator is spacious and offers plenty of headroom and legroom for up to five passengers. As this truck is geared toward off-roading, the cabin boasts functional features like removable carpets and drain plugs. Depending on the trim you opt for, the cabin can range from utilitarian to upscale. The Sport trim features the basics, including cloth upholstery, a rearview camera, air conditioning, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, while the Sport S adds a few conveniences like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, and power windows.

With the Altitude comes mostly aesthetic upgrades like Gloss Black instrument panel bezels, while the Overland adds convenient features like dual-zone automatic climate control. The Rubicon trim features special Rubicon cloth bucket seats, and the Mojave trim comes with premium cloth seats with sport bolsters. The North Edition adds all-weather slush mats, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Modern Technology

The Gladiator boasts the easy-to-use Uconnect infotainment system, which is one of the best on the market. The standard configuration includes basic features like a 5-inch display, eight speakers, Bluetooth, and a USB port. For the Uconnect 4 infotainment system with a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and SiriusXM, opt for the Overland, Rubicon, or Mojave trims. With the North Edition comes the Uconnect 4C NAV system with an 8.4-inch display, navigation, and HD Radio.

Superior Off-Roading

Although all Gladiator trims are capable off-road vehicles and feature standard equipment like Dana 44 axles, skid plates, and tow hooks, off-road enthusiasts should opt for the Rubicon or Mojave trims. The off-road-ready Rubicon comes standard with advanced systems like front and rear Tru-Lok locking differentials, branded FOX shocks, a Rock-Trac 4:1 transfer case, an electronic disconnecting sway bar, and rock rails. The Mojave is the first Jeep to boast a Desert Rated badge and boasts features like a transfer case that enables low-range gears at faster speeds for improved performance in a desert environment.

The different Gladiator trims offer various levels of functionality, performance, and luxury. To find out more about which trim would be best for you, drop by Hutch CDJR and chat with one of our consultants.
