Trim Levels
The 2019 Dodge Durango comes in five trims: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT. You can get these in nine configurations. Apart from the SRT, the trims have a standard four-door 4x2 configuration. The SRT has the four-door all-wheel drive configuration, which is available as an option for the other trims. You can pick green, blue, and gray colors for your Dodge Durango and bumpers to go with your color choice. All the trims come with a chrome grille, chrome accents, LED headlights and taillights, and heated door mirrors. The trims come with standard 18-inch wheels, but you can opt for 20-inch wheels and get them in a variety of finishes like satin carbon, aluminum alloy, and brass monkey. Customize your vehicle further with a roof rack, running boards, and side steps. If you intend to tow a trailer, get the class IV trailer with a harness.
Engine
The SXT, GT, and Citadel have the 3.6-liter V-6 engine that can generate 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. For the R/T, the standard engine is the 5.7-liter V-8. This is optional for the Citadel. As engines go, it comes packed with power, producing 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet torque. With this in place, your Durango will easily pull loads of 7,400 pounds. If you require more power, get the SRT with its 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine. It is capable of generating 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet torque, allowing your vehicle to move 8,700 pounds. All Dodge Durango vehicles have an eight-speed transmission, and their fuel tanks can hold 24.6 gallons.
Performance
The 2019 Dodge Durango offers an excellent road performance and towing capability, fitted as it is with the superior V-6 and V-8 engines and the standard rear-wheel drive system. If you are looking for extra speed, place your bets on the SRT. It can accelerate from stop to 60 mph in 5 seconds. You should be able to drive your Dodge Durango with sufficient efficiency on rugged terrains, but bear in mind that this isn't an all-terrain vehicle.
Interior
The cabin is luxurious and spacious with a carpeted floor, air conditioning, and LED lights. Except for the SXT, all the trims have three rows. You get bucket seats in the front row and bench seats for the rows behind. If you need more space, fold the second-row bench or swap it for separate captain's seats. You can tilt and telescope the leather-wrapped steering wheel and warm your hands on it on cold days. For entertainment and news on your drives, you get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Safety
Along with air bags and seatbelts, the 2019 Dodge Durango comes with an anti-collision warning alert, traction control, and four-wheel disc brakes. The optional package offers more advanced safety features.
